An insightful talk on Forest Land Depletion & Urban Wildlife Encounters

 Siddha Group, known for its commitment to sustainable urban development, organized an insightful talk show addressing the critical issue of Forest Land Depletion & Urban Wildlife Encounters. The event brought together esteemed environment experts and conservationists to discuss the growing challenges of urbanization on natural ecosystems and the increasing human-wildlife interface.

The discussion featured distinguished speakers, including Mr. Sunil Limaye, IFS (Retd), Member of the Central Empowered Committee and Former Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Government of Maharashtra, and Mr. Pradeep Vyas, IFS (Retd), Former Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Government of West Bengal. Adding a cultural perspective to the dialogue, noted danseuse Ms. Alokananda Roy also joined the discussion and emphasized on the symbiotic relationship between nature and human existence through the lens of art and philosophy. National Award-winning actress Rituparna Sengupta and renowned actor Indraneil Sengupta were also present at the talk show and highlighted the importance of Forest land conservation to have a greener future for the human race.

The session was skillfully moderated by Mr. Jayanta Basu, a renowned Environment Columnist and Faculty Member at the Department of Environmental Science & Department of Journalism, Calcutta University.
