Opening of Tram World Café along with Business Conversation between Young Indians and Chinese Consulate

An old tram depot now turned into a cafe conserving the rich heritage and part of West Bengal’s History, the Tram. It was opened with unique concepts such as entertainments, food or activity. It will be the most spoken space in India, where the aesthetic of tram will be maintained. It is an upcycle café with the use of Bengal heritage, like the whole decorations were made out of bamboo; also there will be dining rooms inside the tram. In the Tram Cafe Opening Ceremony, H.E. Mr. Zha Liyou Hon’ble Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kolkata was present. He gave away the Rich book from the Governance of a country as big as China. He hosted a very candid and informal discussion on Bilateral Trade and Doing Business in China with the prolific Young Indians Members and young managers of Chinese companies in Kolkata.

Also young staff of Chinese Consulate and Chinese companies includes CRRC, Dongfang Electrics, New Hope, and VIVO were present. They came from big cities like Beijing, Tianjin, Xi’an and provinces like Zhejiang, Hubei, and introduced business environment of their hometown to these young Indian business leaders. The evening was beautifully crafted in the ambience of music and great banter with a message of not to just talk about Leads of business in such interactions but also to exchange the best practices to make these interactions more meaningful. In phase one, Cafeteria is opened. It will be a multi brand outlet and this place can be used for exhibitions, night markets, flew market and displaying and selling ground products of Cottage Industry, etc.. The café will be pet friendly. It will be open 24×7. The café will do the special arrangement for Morning walkers, and mid night foods will be available where people can sit and eat peacefully. The Incoming Chair of Yi Kolkata Chapter, Rohit Patni addressed the gathering which included the members of the business fraternity of China residing in Kolkata and the Yi member.
