Women’s league-3 Road cycling competition to be held in the city

Khelo India Women’s Road Cycling League has been allotted to West Bengal and will be organised & managed by West Bengal Cyclists’ Association under the aegis of Cycling federation of India
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports have taken the initiative to build up the total ecosystem of Sports in the country and tap into the best of women sports talents across the States and give them a proper platform to compete in.
90 female athletes from UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha & West Bengal are expected to compete under the Sub-junior, junior & senior category.
The event will be of 2 days: 25th & 26th March and will comprise of two formats: the Individual Time Trial & the Mass start.
At the same occasion West Bengal Cyclists Association, West Bengal (WBCA) and Kolkata Society for Cultural Heritage have signed an MoU at Calcutta Sports Journalist Tent today (23-03-2023) to use sports for all round development of boys and girls, provide opportunities to develop career in sports and mobilise social entrepreneurship.
