After two successful editions of DJ’s Cricket League (DCL), Kolkata witnessed the 3rd edition of DCL. DJs from all over the city had put down their headphones and picked up their bats and gloves. DCL is the much awaited Cricket League of the city took which place at The Spring Club. The event witnessed eminent sports personalities like Veteran Indian Hockey player Shri Gurbux Singh and Renowned Cricketer Sambaran Banerjee who also awarded the winning and the runners up team of the league.74 DJs of the city participated and there were six teams-The Grid Smashers, RR Remotes Blasters, Chai Beak Warriors, Wow Momo Riders, Levels the Club Swingers and WCH Damagers.
The indoor cricket tournament held at The Spring Club saw the six teams fight it out from morning to night for the title. With the DCL anthem playing in the background, the witty commentary and fun one-liners from the crowd kept the event high on entertainment.The title holder of DCL 2019 are WCH Damagers. Speaking on this Occasion, curator of the event,Dj Akash Rohira said,” “If there’s one thing that brings all Indians together, it’s cricket. I dreamt about DCL which did come true with our first edition in 2017. We have excellent teams who believe in the spirit of sport. This was not and will never be possible alone, it’s a team effort and we are also looking forward to many more editions of DCL”. DJs Cricket league, is a Cricket League, but with a Difference, where we see the Djs, spinning out their talent but with Different Gears to showcase their cricketing skills giving the audiences a sight of a thrilling run to the finish game. It all Started in 2017 when the Proprietor of M/s A.R.Deejays , Mr.Akash Rohira dreamt of the biggest DJ and Cricket Line up under one roof, which did come true, but the gears were different.
