VFS Capital Limited launches Mobile Health-care Unit, to provide primary medical care services to rural and underserved communities
On the occasion of 75th anniversary of Independence, VFS Capital Limited, a leading Kolkata-based microfinance company (NBFC-MFI) inaugurated a fully furnished, specially made Mobile Medical Unit to provide primary healthcare services to people living in rural Bengal. The Mobile Medical Unit, which will travel across the state, was flagged off by Mr. Kuldip Maity, MD & CEO, VFS Capital and Mr. Ajit Kumar Maity, Chairman, VFS Capital along with other eminent guests.
Kaydee Foundation, the CSR wing of VFS Capital will be responsible for functioning the Mobile Medical Unit and to organize free Health-care camps in the remote areas for the rural and underserved communities.
This Mobile Medical Unit accompanied by a dedicated medical team will provide primary, preventive, diagnostic, and referral health services at the doorstep of the people living in the remote areas across West Bengal. The Unit, equipped with modern equipment is specially designed to cater the need of the medical facilities.
This Mobile Medical Unit will travel throughout the year, and will organize free medical camps to help rural people with medical care facilities besides raising awareness about health issues among them.
