On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, Town Official Language Implementation Committee (NARAKAS UCO Bank) Kolkata conferred Vidyasagar Matribhasha Sanman to eminent personalities for their contribution towards establishing harmony between Hindi and regional languages in West Bengal.
This year the event took place at the State Bank Institute of Leadership, Kolkata Newtown, where eminent VastuShastri Dr. Surendra Kapoorand eminent singer Padmashree Smt. Usha Uthup was awarded with Vidyasagar Matribhasha for the year 2020-21 and 2021-22 respectively. The award was presented by Mr. Madhukar Anand, Director, State Bank Leadership Institute.
VastuShastri Dr. Surendra Kapoor is a leading light in the field of Indian knowledge system Veda, VastuShastra, Vedic Jyotish, Aura Reading, Naming Names and Dream Interpretation. He is a voracious reader, multi linguistic, multitalented holistic personality and an experienced trainer.Dr. Kapoor has studied Indology with International Accreditation. Study of Ved, Vedang and Darshan, Study of Hindutva, Study of Upanishads, Ancient Indian Litreature, Ancient Indian Astronomy, Ancient Indian Architecture, Ancient Indian science and Technology etc.
“Being born and brought up in West Bengal, I have my deep love towards by mother tongue Bengali, though I am not born as a Bengali, I am one from the bottom of my heart . I love this culture, it is in my veins. I love eating the Bengali dishes, speaking the language, read and write. I love singing in Bengali songs too. I am proud to work, know, learn and teach the languages of Upanishads, Veda, and VastuShastra. It is my absolute pleasure to achieve such an award today, it is like a life achievement to me. I am indeed very happy’ said Dr. Kapoor
Dr. Kapoor has also authored books namingly:”Vastu”, “Namkaran – Namchayan” and “Vastusar” in Bengali which are bestsellers and have under gone many editions. Currently, he is associated with many Educational Institutionsto teach Various Indologicalsubjects.Dr. Kapoor has been awarded ‘Vedacharya’ for his outstanding contribution in the field of Sanskrit Resources Development, Government of India on 8th September 2012 on the auspicious All Bengal Oriental conference on Sanskrit and Cultural Heritage.
The event also witnessed the presence of eminent personalities like Shri Mani Shankar Dwivedi,Director Official Language –Shri BabuLal Meena, Mr. Soma Shankar Prasad, MD & CEO, Shri Naresh Kumar, General Manager, UCO Bank, Program Operation Amal Shekhar Karanseth, Chief Manager, Official Language and Member Secretary were also present as guests.
