While the Catholic Association of Bengal was helping the religious and some Community members with free vaccinations, Fr Devraj the editor of the herald Fr Amar Bagh parish priest Fatima shrine church and Fr Michael Biswas the director of the youth commission of the archdiocese contacted the president Angelina Mantosh Jasnani of the CAB to have camps for the poor, needy , the aged, the sick, and the nursing mothers.
“The CAB contacted the KMC through the chairman board of administrator Janab Firhad Hakim Sir who immediately obliged by sending the vaccination on wheels. Cab and the youth commission members helped in calling and registering the parishioners from the different parishes and institutions like MC brothers St. John’s, St Thomas, st Teresa, Prabhu Jessu , sacred heart, infant Jesus Behala,our lady of valankanni picnic garden, our lady of happy Voage Howrah. And the religious from many different centers. Fr Michael ,Colin Fitzgerald , and Angelina Jasnani called registered so that when these parishioners come they don’t have to Wait or que so all Covid protocols can be followed.The CAB and the youth members helped carrying the elderly in and out of the bus , but we need to put on Required and thank the KMC staff they got of the bus many a times to vaccinate the sick and elderly who could not walk. The CAB is flooded with calls from the different parish priest to have there needy sick and the elderly vaccinate.” said Angelina Mantosh Jasnani .
The CAB had requested the hon’ble Mayor to oblige with some for vaccinations on wheels. CAB has even reached out in Howrah with vaccination camps with the HMC.
“CAB is grateful to our Hon’ble CM Didi’s initiative to vaccinate the citizens of our city of joy, through our Hon’ble Mayor janab Firhad Hakim sir. We feel blessed at the cab to have helped more then 15 hundred plus citizens vaccinated free of cost by the of our beloved CM Didi initiative.The Church is a place of Trust and Hope thus having vaccinations on the premises eliminates hesitancy and instills confidence in the faithful. we encourage all religious leaders to encourage their people to get vaccinated. we must play our role and if we take our vacation at these drives it gives people the confidence and eliminates any doubts of being false camps as misinformation keeps people away from genuine initiatives of the government” added Angelina Mantosh Jasnani.
