Underprivileged kids to show their talent at Pehchaan Season 3

East India’s leading Event Management Institute, NAME (National Academy of Media and Events) is organizinga mega social initiative called Pehchaan- A journey to discover talents unknown. It is Bengal’s first ever talent show for less privileged children,that discovers some amazing talents at grass-root level from different slums, trains& grooms them by individual trainers, and gives them a chance to showcase their talent in front of the society through a stage show.

 

“Pehchaan aims to create awareness in the society about Equality, Education, and give a platform tolessprivileged kids to showcase their talents. As an Event Management Institution, we aim to engage our students on this project annually for four months to create an event that makes a difference in the society” said, Mr. BK Mantry, Co-founder of NATIONAL ACADEMY OF MEDIA & EVENTS

After several months of on ground work executed by the students of NAME, the organization got 1424registrations and out of which 500 were selected for the final auditions and100 amazing talents got shortlisted as the finalists who will be performingat Kala Mandir Auditorium on 16th October’19,revolving around different categories: Singing, Rapping, Beat Boxing, Dancing, Acting & Drama, Art & Craft and Special Talent.

The event was promoted through a Nukkar Natak (street play), enacted by the students of NAME, which was held in different parts of the city. This initiative was taken to make people aware about Pehchaan and also to seek for their help and support to encourage the young talents.

The grand finale will bring some spectacular talents and theme basedperformances. There will be unique performances like beat boxing, rapping and dance battles. A motivational play on promoting talents and a soulful singing performance will also be there. A donation wall will be set up at the venue where people can contribute and support the children for a brighter future.

The event will beculminated by giving away awardsto the winners and the first runner ups,and Medals & Certificates to all the children for their participation. For the first time ever, Scholarships will be given to all the 100 finalists. As a co-presenter, Round Table India associated with Pehchaan season 3, to offer scholarship of training to most of the finalists. Mr. Amit Agarwal, Area chairperson, CRT-4, Round Table India said, “We are proud to be associated with an event like Pehchaan for the second time that gives an opportunity to nurture talents of lesser privileged kids so that they lead respectable lives. This shall be a continuous association with NAME, where together we shall do our very best to assure these children a better future.” The event is even associated with M-Bazaar.

Mr. Amaresh Singh, Co-founder of NAME Academy, said, “NAME will organize Pehchaan every year, discovering more hidden talents and gifting this unique platform to them.We will continue to guide our students towards taking such initiative in future and growing it bigger and prosperous with every season.”
