The first & the second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic led to a dramatic loss of human life all over the world.India has administered more than a billion Covid jabs since it started its vaccination drive in January this year.
Despite all the sufferings caused by the virus, some people in our country are not ready to go for the vaccination as various myths have been spread over social media platforms. It’s important for different stakeholders to spread awareness on COVID-19 vaccination so that a major chunk of the population may get vaccinated, and we will be able to minimize the impact of this virus on the human body.
On the occasion of the International Science Centre & Science Museum Day on 10th November 2021, Firhad Hakim, Ho’ble Transport Minister, Govt. of West Bengal along with V. S. Ramachandran, Director, BITM and Anurag Kumar, Director, Science City flagged off a Tableau raising awareness on vaccines and COVID-19 appropriate behaviour at the BITM , Kolkata.
The Tableau developed by BITM will carry messages towards making the masses aware about the benefits of vaccination as well as COVID-19 appropriate behaviour like Wearing Mask, Cleaning Hands, Maintaining Social Distance etc. In addition to the printed message on banners, there will be a recorded voiceover in Bengali and English alerting the people of the essentialities of strict adherence of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour.
The said Tableau is scheduled to run on the roads of Kolkata from 10th November (International Science Centre & Science Museum Day) to 14th November (Children’s Day).
