SSB observed Netaji Jayanti

Celebrations are organized across India to mark Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s 126th birth anniversary on January 23. As part of this, Swasastra Sima Bal (SSB) and Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC) jointly celebrated the 126th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Kolkata on January 21. An “Iconic event” was held on this day. The Swasastra Sima Bal (SSB) in Kolkata was assigned this responsibility by the Union Home Ministry. CISF, NSG, NDRF and EZCC were also present.
The Governor of West Bengal Dr. CV Anand Bose was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
The program started at 8 am with a yoga exercise, in which SSB, NSG, CISF and NDRF personnel and local citizens participated.
A walkathon program was then organized from EZCC premises to Karunamayi Bus Stand, in which officers, personnel, Central Schools and students of Salt Lake I & II and Lady Queen Schools and local citizens participated. In all about 950 people enthusiastically participated in this grand gathering. Following this, everyone paid tribute to Netaji by offering wreaths to Netaji’s statue.
A blood donation camp was then organized to commemorate Netaji’s motto “You give me blood, I will give you freedom”. In which officers and jawans of CISF, SSB, NDRF and NSG participated enthusiastically. After that, rescue and relief demonstrations were among the other programs of various forces. The purpose of which was to make people aware of the need to save the local citizens through this special demonstration. Next was the dog show. The force’s trained dog squads showcase their skills on this occasion. Then the well-trained and well-disciplined band troupe of the force enthralled all the citizens present with a magnificent and unforgettable performance to the rhythmic tunes of the INA.
In the evening a cultural program was organized in the auditorium of Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre. At the beginning, SSB Inspector General IG Rajendra Bhumla welcomed His Excellency the Governor and briefed the chief guests and the gathering about the outline of the programme. His Excellency the Governor of West Bengal Dr. CV Anand Bose in his address spoke about the incredible contribution of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in the Indian freedom struggle and his contribution and sacrifice in awakening patriotism. He also lauded the successful completion of the event jointly organized by SSB, CISF, NSG, NDRF and EZCC and urged the youth to take inspiration from the personality of Netaji.
Paresh Saxena, IPS, IG (TRG) SSB, RK Bhumbla, IG, SSB, Amit Kumar, IG, SSB, MS Padda, DIG, SSB, Rakesh Kumar Pandey, Director, MHA, Asish Giri, Director EZCC, Piyali Sharma, Senior Commandant, CISF, Ashok Biswas, Commandant, SSB, Gurvinder Singh, Commandant, NDRF, Abhijit Chatterjee, Administrative Officer EZCC were present as guests of honor on the occasion.
