Short Film portrays issues of over-possessive and demanding relationship

Dipanwita Sengupta’s short film By Lane portrays the evolution of a relationship of two working professionals. The chemistry builds and then slowly fizzles out, as is the reality of most marriages.

It is a story about a couple who are in a relationship for a quite long time.But for ‘over possessiveness’ & ‘taken for granted’ attitude kills the relationship at the end
Here the film identify these particular ‘Behavioral problems’.And at the end the film gives a Solution as a social message.

 

Recently, Off the Spectrum organized a special screening of grand premiere of the short film Bylane -Story of changing the lane in a relationship.

Veteran and renowned actress Madhobi Mukherjee,  Piloo Bhattacharya, Pt Mallar Ghosh, Mallika Ghosh, Indrani Ganguly, Poet Tanmoy Chakraborty,Saptak Sanai Das  & Bobbie Prasad were present during the screening.

All the seven casts of the short film are Dipanwita Sengupta as Neera,  Rajdeep Sarkar as Amit, Kazi Nizamuddin as Amit’s father, Kanchan Das as Navoneel, Bipratip Ghosh as Ratul, Poulomi Dutta as Saju and  Mayukh Saha as hawker. Cinematography is done by Soumendra & Soujit, lyrics & tune are taken from Rabindranath Tagore, Playback singer is Dipanwita  Sengupta, while Background Music is done by Nilotpal Babusona. Post production by Legato studio.
