SER CELEBRATES “AZADI KI RAIL GADI AUR STATIONS” AS A PART OF 75 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE
Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, South Eastern Railway flagged off a Motorcycle Rally by SER/RPF from SER Headquarters today (18.07.2022) as a part of celebration of “Azadi Ki Rail Gadi Aur Stations” to commemorate 75 Years of Independence. The Bikers Rally will proceed towards Champaran, Bihar. A week-long programme will be organised by South Eastern Railway to mark the occasion along with the other zones of Indian Railways from 18th to 23rd July, 2022. The General Manager also inaugurated the “Har Ghar Jhanda” Stall set up by Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan near the Staff Canteen, SER Headquarters, Garden Reach.
Four Stations of South Eastern Railway have been identified as Freedom Stations i.e. Chakradharpur, Tatanagar, Ranchi and Balasore. A number of activities have been planned at these Stations to commemorate the event “Azadi Ki Rail Gadi Aur Stations”. Nukkad Nataks, having essence of freedom struggle will be staged. Photo Galleries will be set up at Stations related to freedom struggle. Patriotic Songs will also be played at the major stations during this week. Light & Sound shows will be arranged and video clips will be played at stations associated with Indian Freedom struggle.
12810 Howrah-Mumbai CSMT Mail has been identified for this event and will be flagged off by family members of Freedom Fighters on 20.07.2022. The train will be appropriately decorated and historical facts will be displayed for public viewing.
The event, Azadi Ki Rail Gadi Aur Stations will be organised as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrating the 75 Years of Independence.
