Rotary Club of Calcutta Avyanna holds 8th installation Ceremony, honours 8 unsung heroes of the society

‘The same light you see in others is shining within you as well.’
Stepping into the sixth year, the Rotary Club of Calcutta Avyanna still firmly believes in this as the
club proudly hosted another edition of the Maanyata Awards, a ceremony to cherish and celebrate
the unsung heroes from all walks of life. Presenting a memorable start to a Saturday morning,
Maanyata Awards 2023-24, a part of the grand 8th Installation Ceremony of the club, unfolded the
magical journeys of the awardees at the Galaxy Hall, The Park Kolkata, saluting their indomitable
spirit.
This year too, the Rotary Club of Calcutta Avyanna has traced out the hidden gems in the form of
outstanding individuals who have been relentlessly making significant impacts on society. The list of
awardees includes:
Archit Panja: For his indomitable spirit and culinary entrepreneurship.
Anuprabha Das: For her unfettered courage and unwavering focus in ensuring rights of the
transgenders.
Dr Prabir Bhowmick: For his medical commitment to philanthropy.
Uday Kumar: For his resilience and unmatched mental strength in beating his physical disability and
achieving mountaineering feats.
Joydip Kundu: For his unwavering commitment to wildlife and environmental conservation.
Sobhan Mukherjee: For championing the cause of Menstrual Hygiene
Manoshi Roy Choudhury: For her unparalleled contribution to the field of education.

Chetan Solanki: For Excellence in Sustainable Innovation and Climate Restoration
The latter half of the event was dedicated to the club’s 8th Installation Ceremony, attended by the
who’s who of the society as well as the enterprising ladies of the Rotary Club of Calcutta Avyanna.
