After two successful road trips with HistoryTV18 through Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh, Indian television’s famous foodies Rocky and Mayur are now heading east on their third road trip from Delhi to Kolkata across India’s heartland. HistoryTV18’s #RoadTrippinWithRnM is a unique travel vlogging series with its genesis in the second half of 2020 when lockdown rules started to ease. In its third season, the series sees Rocky and Mayur cataloguing their journeys in real-time and sharing them on social media through vlogs, photos, and reels. This one-of-a-kind digital-first, almost-live road trip format broke the internet on its first two editions, setting a new benchmark of sorts, with over 60MN views and nearly 200MN impressions.
This time, Rocky and Mayur have ridden through parts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, exploring new places, meeting new people, and experiencing new flavours on their way to West Bengal. As they ride into the capital city known for its colonial architecture, art galleries and festivals, and a pulsating cultural vibe, they are ready to explore all that the grand old city has to offer. While they believe in travelling light, they will be carrying their trademark sense of humour and energy as they visit iconic landmarks across aamaar Kolkata. Staying true to their style, some of the diverse experiences on their itinerary include the 30+-year-old landmark bakery Kookie Jar, the famous halwa-kochuri at Bhowanipore, the lavish high-tea at the Taj Bengal, and the best puchka joint in the city. They also plan to meet locals like the popular food blogger Indrajit Lahiri for engaging conversations and fabulous food experiences.
