Psych-ED: India’s largest and the only Psychology Quiz for Schools Announces Winners for 2022

The Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences, Fortis Healthcare, under the leadership of eminent psychiatrist Dr. Samir Parikh, today organized the Grand Finale of Psych-ED, the largest and only Psychology Quiz in India at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, GurugramPsych-ED has a unique format which is designed to engage students and encourage them to gather greater awareness of Psychology and concepts related to It. The quiz is supported by G.D. Goenka University, who are the title sponsors, Rupa Publications and Get-A-Whey ice creams who are the associate sponsors and Project CACA – the knowledge partner for Psych-ED 2022.

 

900 schools from across 215 cities in India participated in the first online round of the quiz that was held on the 7th of November. Post the first round, 12 teams each entered the 6 Zonal Finals who competed for a spot in the Grand Finale. The Grand Finale saw 7 teams qualifying, who were the winners from across the 6 Zonal rounds. These included The BSS School – Kolkata, Christ Junior College – Bengaluru, Navy Children School – Mumbai, Mayoor School – Ajmer, Sagar Public School – Bhopal and Bal Bharti School, Pitampura.

The teams went through multiple rounds of nerve-racking quizzing and Navy Children School – Mumbai emerged as the Winner of Psych-ED 2022. They were closely followed by Christ Junior College – Bengaluru who were the 1st Runners Up and Mayoor School – Ajmer who were the 2nd Runners Up in the National Grand Finale.

 

The students from the winning team, Navy Children School – Mumbai shared their excitement and enthusiasm at having participated said, “We are super excited to have won the Psych-ED 2022! It was a fabulous journey and great learning. We truly had a lot of fun. We hope that more schools keep participating every year for the best learning experiences under the supervision of the best minds at Psych-ED!”
