Poet, Writer and Social activist Nagathihalli Ramesh receives Kazi Nazrul Memorial International Award 2025
The Kazi Nazrul Memorial International Award 2025 was presented to Poet, Writer and Social activist Nagathihalli Ramesh on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam by the Jatiya Sahitya Prakashan Trust.
The award was given on 3rd August at the Ramakrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House and Cultural Centre, Kolkata. The programme was attended by eminent educationists, Nazrul researchers, writers, musicians, and Nazrul enthusiasts. A wonderful cultural programme was held, including recitation of Nazrul’s poems, songs, and music. The programme was conducted by Shaktimoy Das, Founder Secretary of the JSP Trust.
Among the dignitaries present were Justice Shyamal Kumar Sen (retd), former Bengal Governor and High Court judge, Padmashri Surjya Kanta Hazarika, an eminent writer and educationist from Assam, Prof. Mohammad Ali Khan Chowdhury Manik and Bir Muktijoddha Md Abdul Mannan (Manna Rayhan ) from Bangladesh, eminent poet and writer Mrinal Kanti Pandit from Tripura, Manoj Kumar Vyas from Rajasthan, eminent reciters Debashis Bose and Satinath Mukhopadhyay.
