The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), one of India’s leading apex industry bodies with a legacy spanning over 120 years, officially announced the West Bengal Chapter at a special event held in Kolkata on Saturday, 5th July 2025. The occasion marked a key milestone in expanding PHDCCI’s regional presence and its efforts to empower industries in Eastern India. The event was held in the esteemed presence of Shri Hemant Jain, President of PHDCCI; Mr. Vinod Dugar, Chairman, PHDCCI, West Bengal Chapter; Mr. Sanjay Thapa, Co-Chairman; Dr. Ranjeet Mehta, CEO & Secretary General; and Dr. Jatinder Singh, Deputy Secretary General of the Chamber. Their participation underscored the Chamber’s commitment to regional development and inclusive growth.

Since its founding two years ago, the West Bengal Chapter has been dedicated to boosting the business environment in the area and increasing its visibility on both national and international stages. The purpose of the event was to convene important stakeholders, industry experts, and business executives for enlightening conversations about business growth, joint venture opportunities, and the tactical benefits of PHDCCI membership.
Along with strengthening PHDCCI’s position in industry advocacy and policy discussions, this program also sought to increase the organization’s membership base in the area.
