Nissan Names Its All-New Seven-Seater B-MPV GRAVITE, Launching in Early 2026

Nissan today announced that its all-new, game-changing seven-seater B-MPV will be called GRAVITE, with launch slated for early 2026. The first model under Nissan’s refreshed India line-up, GRAVITE is purpose-built for modern Indian families, delivering standout versatility, modularity, and everyday convenience for value-conscious households. Announced in July 2024 as part of Nissan Motor India’s ambitious product offensive, GRAVITE reinforces the brand’s forward momentum. The roadmap includes the launch of GRAVITE in early 2026, followed by the Tekton in mid-2026 and a seven-seater C-SUV in early 2027, underscoring Nissan’s commitment to strengthening its India portfolio. Inspired by the word “gravity,”

GRAVITE symbolizes balance, stability, and attraction. Its bold stance, signature C-shaped grille, distinctive hood and rear-door badging, and highly modular interior with class-leading storage innovations establish a confident identity aligned with Nissan’s global design language. Massimiliano Messina, Chairperson, Nissan AMIEO, said: “India remains a key contributor to AMIEO’s performance, with Nissan Motor India playing a pivotal strategic role. Having strengthened operations and delivered on our 2024 product commitments, our upcoming line-up blends global insights with strong local relevance. With models developed in and for India and exports to global markets, GRAVITE reflects our continued momentum and confidence in the road ahead.”

Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said: “The All-New GRAVITE highlights Nissan Motor India’s renewed focus on the evolving Indian market. Designed as the perfect companion for diverse customer needs, it marks a pivotal step in our transformation journey and reinforces our commitment to delivering products that align with the aspirations of Indian consumers.” Manufactured locally in Chennai, GRAVITE marks a key milestone in Nissan’s India strategy. As Massimiliano Messina noted, the reveal “demonstrates our continued momentum,” while Saurabh Vatsa added that GRAVITE is “designed to be the perfect companion” and a pivotal step in Nissan Motor India’s transformation journey.
