Nabanita Chakraborty was born on 09 December 1980 late Paresh Nath Mukherjee in Barasat. She belongs to a Hindu family. She pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the Calcutta University. She was quite active in politics since her college days. She is known for her fierce dedication to social justice. Nabanita entered politics to make positive impacts on society.

Nabanita joined the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and worked as a booth-level worker. From 2019 to 2020, she served as a Mandal-level worker. In 2020, she held the District Secretary position. Later in 2021, she became the Vice President of the BJP Barasat District.
