mjunction takes Project Jyoti to Jharkhand
mjunction services limited has launched its successful Digital Inclusion Programme for Visually Impaired Students, Project Jyoti, in Jharkhand last week. In partnership with the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC), the programme aims to empower visually impaired students at the school level by integrating digital literacy and accessibility into their education, paving the way for enhanced learning opportunities.
In Jharkhand, this programme will impact 100 visually impaired students from six districts – Ranchi, Gumla, Khunti, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Saraikila. More than 40 special educators, with the goal of building capacity for digital inclusion, will drive the initiative across the state.
The initiative began with an extensive Training of Trainers (ToT), where master trainers were developed at the state level. These master trainers along with mjunction CSR team and disability experts, implemented the programme in groups across Jamshedpur, ensuring that visually impaired students gain vital digital skills and exposure to assistive technologies.
The closing ceremony saw the presence of senior representatives from Tata Steel, CCL, district government officials, and officials from mjunction. Their participation highlighted the collective effort in making education more inclusive and accessible for all students, regardless of their physical challenges.
This initiative under Project Jyoti exemplifies mjunction’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and equipping students with the tools they need to succeed in today’s digital world. mjunction is proud to collaborate with JEPC and other stakeholders to create a sustainable impact at the grassroots level, according to a spokesperson within the organisation.
Project Jyoti is mjunction’s flagship CSR initiative aimed at empowering Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) through digital literacy, skill development, and inclusion. Since its inception in 2018, the project has made significant strides in providing accessible education and employability training to individuals with disabilities, contributing to a more inclusive society.
