Travel Agents Association of Bengal or TAAB celebrated Bengali New Year in Kolkata on Wednesday, April 16. Through this program, they organized a program called ‘Dekho Amar Bangla’ to regain the lost glory of Bengal. There, they took the initiative to highlight the culture and tradition of Bengal.

The Ministry of Tourism of India has praised their initiative. Jyotirmoy Biswas, Assistant Director of the Ministry’s Eastern Region, said – TAAB’s initiative to highlight the so much that tourism has to offer in Bengal is very good.

On this day, Jyotirmoy Biswas, Assistant Director of the Eastern Region of the Ministry of Tourism, India Tourism, said in Kolkata – “The cultural and tourism potential of Bengal is unparalleled. You also have the responsibility to highlight it. We feel blessed to be able to come to your event. We hope that in the future you will also highlight the tourism potential of West Bengal and Eastern India and attract more and more people.” On this day, Amit Sengupta, Press and Media Head of the British Deputy High Commission in Kolkata, praised the initiative of TAAB and said – I welcome such a beautiful initiative of the Travel Agents Association of Bengal. That’s right, I used to visit my own state. There are so many beautiful places in Bengal that are suitable for tourism. Recently, he went to Tarapith. While sharing that experience, he said – I drove the car myself. I saw that the roads are very good. However, reminding me of the upcoming World Environment Day, I asked all the travel agents present to focus on sustainable tourism and He requested to raise awareness about the ban on plastic in various places including tourism.

Tourism expert Shamik Roy said today – The initiative taken by TAAB with the theme ‘Dekho Mar Bangla’ is very commendable. This question has been on my mind for a long time – here we mean our Bengali travel agents sell to Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Sri Lanka and other places. But you do not highlight your own places. Today, I am very happy to see the initiative taken by the Travel Agents Association of Bengal to highlight the ancient culture and tradition of Bengal under the name ‘Dekho Amar Bangla’.

Travel Agents Association of Bengal President Proshanta Majhi said – Bengali Happy New Year was celebrated on April 15. Poyala Baishakh. Today, i.e. on April 16, we are celebrating it. Our theme or thought is – ‘Dekho Amar Bangla’. We organized a similar event last year to highlight the culture and tradition of Bengal. This year, we are highlighting folk songs and folk culture. At the same time, we have also organized an exhibition of ancient handicrafts of Bengal. Through this, we have taken the initiative to bring our Bengal tourism to the common people. “

The special attraction of the day’s event was the folk music of the Mahul Bangla Band. In addition, the folk dance of the Kala Shilpa Sangstha has caught everyone’s attention.
