Merlin Group Conducts Eye Screening Camps for Employees

In a bid to promote eye health and encourage preventive care, Merlin Group conducted free eye screening camps across its site locations at Acropolis Joka and World Trade Center, Sector V. The eye screening camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from 174 employees at Acropolis Joka. A team of ophthalmologists and medical practitioners from Rotary Mahanagar Netrayalay conducted comprehensive ophthalmic check-ups, including visual acuity testing, cataract screening, power testing, expert recommendations on lenses and frames, and one-on-one counselling.

Following the examinations, Merlin Group donated spectacles to 64 employees at Acropolis Joka who were diagnosed with vision problems. At the World Trade Center site in Sector V, Merlin Group organised a similar eye health check-up camp for 305 workers, in technical collaboration with ASG Eye Hospital. Spectacles were distributed to 123 workers who required corrective vision. Doctors also provided guidance on maintaining good eye health and shared practical eye care tips. Workers expressed satisfaction with the personalised screening process. The camp was conducted over two days—on the first day, eye screenings and power checks were carried out, and after approximately ten days, spectacles were distributed to the workers.

During the sessions, ophthalmologists also advised participants on an ideal diet for maintaining good eye health and demonstrated simple eye exercises. “At Merlin Group, we are deeply committed to the comprehensive well-being of our employees and workers, and we regularly organise health check-up initiatives. Eye screening and spectacles distribution form an important part of this effort. Whenever required, we also facilitate cataract surgeries in collaboration with leading eye care hospitals. We thank Rotary Mahanagar Netrayalay and ASG Eye Hospital for partnering with us in successfully conducting these camps. Such collaborative initiatives help create awareness and ensure that quality eye care reaches everyone,” said Saket Mohta, MD, Merlin Group.

The involvement of Rotary Mahanagar Netralaya and ASG Eye Hospital brought credibility and high-quality diagnostics to the camp, reinforcing its commitment to community welfare and eye health awareness. The organisers have expressed interest in conducting more such camps in the future to reach wider sections of the workforce, particularly those with limited access to ophthalmic services. _______________________
