Memorial tribute to Zubeen Garg held in City

In loving memory of Assam’s cherished singer Zubeen Garg, Barsha Entertainment held a memorial session in the city of joy. The event commenced with the lighting of lamps and floral tributes to the late artist. The evening was filled with emotion as the program attracted a large gathering of officials, artists, and fans who honored Zubeen’s lasting legacy through music and remembrance.

Music Producer & Composer from Mumbai, Lyton, described Zubeen Garg as “not merely a singer, but a representation of compassion and humanity.” Diganta Sharma, a close friend and sound engineer of Zubeen Garg, noted, “Zubeen’s melodies transcended borders and languages. His songs conveyed messages of love, unity, and hope that resonated with hearts without discrimination.” Eminent music composer and director Ashok Bhadra reflected on his close relationship with Zubeen Garg and shared some personal anecdotes. Ashok Bhadra collaborated with singer Zubeen Garg on numerous projects, particularly composing music for songs like “Bhalobasha” from the film Bhalo Meye Mondo Meye and tracks from the album Tui Je Amar, including “Ektu Choyate” and “Swapna Sotti Holo.”

Music Director Savvy emphasized that Zubeen’s contributions extended well beyond that of a singer, encompassing a broad range of artistic endeavors as a lyricist, composer, music director, poet, writer, actor, and filmmaker. Eminent Music Director & Singer Shree Pritam reminisced about his friendship with Zubeen and shared various personal memories.

The memorial concluded with a collective performance of the beloved song “Mayabini Raatir Bukut…”, uniting the audience in an emotional tribute to the late maestro. Affectionately remembered as “Zubeen Da,” the late singer was a cultural icon whose voice and songs inspired generations and connected communities throughout the region. His contributions to the music industry and his commitment to promoting regional art left an unforgettable impact on the hearts of millions.
