Largest State-of-The-Art Eye Hospital Of East

The largest state-of-the-art eye hospital of Eastern India, Disha Mahanagar was inaugurated in New Town by Swami Satyadhamananda Maharaj, Assistant Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Sarada Pitha today. Present on the occasion were Shri Debasis Sen, IAS, Chairman HIDCO, Shri Harshavardhan Neotia, Chairman, Ambuja Neotia, Shri Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, Managing Director & CEO, Bandhan Bank, Shri Somnath Chatterjee, Director, Suraksha Diagnostics and Dr Debasish Bhattacharya, Chairman & Managing Director, Disha Eye Hospitals among other distinguished guests.

The 10 storied, 80,000 sq ft building of Disha Mahanagar consists of 6 Laminar Flow Operation Theatre Complexes, Dedicated OT for Femto Laser Phaco Cataract surgery, 16 bedded recovery room, cafeteria with comfortable waiting area for patient’s accompanying persons etc. The Surgical Centre has 50 beds and 20 OPD clinics for the patients with all modern equipment along with best investigative and surgical facilities.

“Our humble journey began in 1997 at Barrackpore with the dream and vision of providing the best eye care treatment at an affordable cost. As we have expanded our presence significantly in West Bengal over the years, we have reached out to a larger number of people living even in the remote areas. Disha Mahanagar will be able to cater to all the needs that a patients would have relating to the eye. The new building is equipped with modern Laminar flow operating theaters to assure the patients of the best facilities. Disha has touched 1 crore families over the last 23 years and operated more than 10 lakh patients across all our hospitals with 1000 staff and 96 full time consultants”, said Dr Debasish Bhattacharya, Chairman & Managing Director, Disha Eye Hospitals.

Disha Mahanagar will remain open from Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm.
