Lalbaba Engineering Group today announced the first-of-its-kind international joint venture in the seamless tubes industry with 100 year old German Tube Manufacturing giant Poppe+Potthoff to mark its 60th Anniversary.
Envisioned by Mr. Murari Lal Dhanuka and his pursuit of perfection, Lalbaba group was founded in 1964 and prospered under the leadership of his son, Mr. Kishan Dhanuka, who paved the way for the emergence of entities like PEW Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Lalbaba Industrial Corporation Pvt. Ltd., Lalbaba Seamless Tubes Pvt. Ltd. and Lalbaba Projects Pvt. Ltd. The group, with 72000 MT annual production is considered one of the largest Cold Drawn manufacturers in India and this association adds a new feather to their hat as they aim at an additional staggering 15000 MT per annum production from their upcoming facility at Haryana. The group reported a Consolidated Revenue of INR 750 crores in FY 2023-24 and is on track to achieve INR 1000 crores in FY 2024-25, marking a strong 25% growth.
On the cusp of this milestone, Indo-Deutsch Precision Tubes brings together Lalbaba’s advanced Continuous Cold Draw system with Poppe+Potthoff’s century-old expertise in high-pressure diesel injection tubing. The state-of-the-art facility in Haryana is set to elevate global quality benchmarks while prioritizing sustainability.
The facility sets new benchmarks in sustainable manufacturing, with 35% of its power currently sourced from a 2 MW rooftop solar system and plans to increase this to 50% in two years. It uses 85% less water compared to conventional seamless tube plants and ensures zero liquid discharge through advanced wastewater treatment, where 100% of process wastewater is reused, reinforcing its commitment to environmental responsibility.
