KSCH & BPCL Strengthen Healthcare in North 24 Parganas with Advanced Medical Equipment

In a significant stride toward improving healthcare access, the Kolkata Society for Cultural Heritage (KSCH) & North Barrackpore Municipality in collaboration with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL), has successfully installed essential medical equipment in Jamini Bhusan Memorial Maternity & General Hospital and Monirampur Poly Clinic under BPCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. This initiative aims to enhance diagnostic and critical care services, ensuring quality healthcare for underserved communities. The project has equipped these hospitals with state-of-the-art medical devices, including X-ray machines, Digital Radiography Panels, a 5-Part Hematology Analyzer, a High-End Ultrasound Machine (USG) with 4 Pro A, and ICU Ventilator 9C Plus. These installations significantly improve medical diagnostics, emergency response, and overall patient care.

The inauguration ceremony, organized on 20th February 2025, and attended by esteemed dignitaries, including the Honorable MP & MLA of Barrackpore, the Chief Manager (Admin-HRS), East of BPCL, the Chairman of North Barrackpore Municipality, and the Director of KSCH. Their presence highlighted the collaborative effort to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the region.

KSCH, in partnership with BPCL and local authorities, conducted an in-depth assessment to identify hospitals with the most pressing needs. Through a structured procurement and installation process, these cutting-edge machines are now fully operational. Hospital authorities will oversee regular usage, while KSCH field officers will conduct periodic inspections to ensure sustained functionality. This initiative directly benefits approximately 1.62 lakhs rural residents, providing access to advanced diagnostic tools and critical care facilities. It exemplifies the impact of corporate social responsibility in bridging healthcare gaps and delivering life-saving medical advancements to the communities that need them most. With continued monitoring and support, KSCH remains committed to ensuring the long-term effectiveness of this initiative. This project stands as a testament to the power of collaboration between public institutions and corporate entities in building a healthier and more resilient society.
