The KPMG Global Services Delivery Platform (KGSDP) today announced the inauguration of its new office in Kolkata for its Tax Business Unit, reaffirming the firm’s long-term commitment to the city as a key hub for global tax delivery and talent development. The new facility will support deeper Tax specialisation and large-scale delivery of global professional services. KGSDP began operations in Kolkata with a small team of 50 professionals working out of a co-working space. Over the past few years, this has grown into a team of more than 200 highly skilled professionals delivering complex, technology-enabled Tax and compliance services to global clients. Kolkata’s expanding pool of finance and accounting graduates has positioned the city as a strong centre for scaled tax compliance and global mobility services. The new office represents more than a physical expansion, reflecting KPMG’s broader vision to deepen its regional presence, expand service lines and build future-ready Tax capabilities.
The office was inaugurated by Rema Serafi, Vice Chair – Tax, KPMG US, along with Sameer Chadha, Partner and Head – KPMG Global Services Delivery Platform, and senior leaders from KPMG US, KPMG UK and KGSDP.
