India’s First Integrated Wildlife Photography Platform “Wild By Nature” launched

Wild By Nature, India’s first integrated wildlife photography platform, was formally launched in Kolkata at The Saturday Club. With a vision to bring photographers, learners, conservationists, and enthusiasts together, the initiative offers a comprehensive ecosystem for photographers, learners, and conservation enthusiasts by bringing mentorship, immersive safaris, curated workshops, competitions, a gear marketplace, curated resources, and community engagement — all under one roof.
The launch event was presided over by Founder-Director Pradyumana (Bobby) Lohia, who was
introduced by Akhshaye Lohia (Director of Operations). Also present on the dais were Mr.
Kalyan Rai, IFS – Deputy Conservator of Forests, Wildlife Headquarters, Government of West
Bengal, Co-founder & Chief Curator Dr. Adit Singh, along with mentors and representatives
from partner brands.
Speaking at the launch, Founder-Director Pradyumana (Bobby) Lohia said: “As a self-taught
wildlife photographer, I often struggled with scattered information and unverified guidance.
Wild By Nature is my attempt to make the path easier for others — a platform where community,
mentorship, and conservation go hand-in-hand. This is not just a website. It’s a movement.”

Joining him was Co-founder & Chief Curator Dr. Adit Singh, who emphasized the role of
mentors: “Each of our mentors has been chosen not just for their achievements in the field but
for their ability to teach and inspire. We believe that learning wildlife photography is not just
about technique — it’s about developing an ethic of respect for the wild and a deeper
understanding of nature.”
Nandini Mazumder, Head of Strategy, Wild By Nature, added: “Our goal is to make wildlife
photography more accessible. Whether you are a student with a beginner’s camera, a hobbyist,
or a seasoned professional, Wild By Nature provides a structured way to learn, practice, and
showcase your work.”
Rooted in Kolkata, Growing Nationally – Wild By Nature is proud to begin its journey in the
cultural capital of India while extending its reach nationally. Students from La Martiniere for
Boys, La Martiniere for Girls, Bhawanipore Education Society College, and Jadavpur University
participated in the launch, highlighting the youthful energy behind the initiative.
