Institute of Engineering & Management, Salt Lake, and University of Engineering & Management, Kolkata collaborated with Woodlands hospital to conduct a massive covid-19 vaccination drive – vaccinating more than 500 members of, faculty, staff, family members, spouses, children, parents, MAKAUT (affiliating University – Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata – formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology) and Corporate Partners from various Blue Chip companies in a span of two days in their spacious IEM Sector V College More campus. Institute of Engineering & Management, Salt Lake, and University of Engineering & Management, Kolkata and IEM Public School was the first amongst educational institutions in West Bengal and in India to Vaccinate all their faculty, staff, their families and University and Corporate partners.
IEM – UEM Group President Dr Satyajit Chakrabarti said – “In our 33 years of excellence in higher education, IEM – UEM Group has never faced such a challenging pandemic situation before. So we undertook the additional expense to give vaccines to all our faculty, staff, their family members, our affiliating university MAKAUT, Corporate partners – vaccines free of charge. All members took the vaccines from the comfort of the spacious College settings in IEM Sector V. Along with generously giving scholarships to students whose parents have died in this pandemic, distressed alumni and faculty members – we also felt that helping in vaccination was essential to reopen classes physically as soon as possible.”
