Hulladek reveals ambitious expansion plans

Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd, a leading waste management company, hasevolved from a bootstrapped venture to a full-fledged corporate entity in their decade-long journey. Hulladek’s vision for 2030 includes an ambitious expansion plan aimed at achieving pan-India penetration.

 

Building on its strong presence in Eastern India, the company plans to extend its services to key markets across the country, staring from North to gradually expanding to South and West. In line with its expansion strategy, Hulladek Recycling is set to establish state-of-the-art recycling plants for electronic, plastic and battery waste across all North, South, East, West & Central zones by 2030. During this period, the company will set up door-to-door pick-up services and install Hulladek Bins across the country.

 

Over the past decade, Hulladek has transformed from a vision into a reality, driven by our unwavering commitment to sustainability. The future looks promising as we remain committed to make a positive impact on the environment and society. We would be opening our collection centres and have franchisee partnersin every state by 2030. During this period, we would be establishing over 10 Material Recovery Facilities in the country and also aim to collect and channelise 50 million Kgs of electronic, plastic and battery waste. We have earmarked an investment of Rs 10crore towards our expansion drive in the coming 6 years”, said Mr Nandan Mall, Founder &CMD, Hulladek Recycling.

 

Hulladek is partnering with PWL Ventures in Jaipur to establish their first recycling unit for electronic, plasticand battery waste. The unit will be operational by the end of August, 2024. The company is expected to double its team size to over 150 employees in the next 5 years’ time.

 

“The last one year have been extremely active and important in Hulladek’s calendar as we channelised 22 million Kgs of plastic, collaborated with Umicore, a Belgium-based global recycling company for collecting and channelizing catalytic convertors, diversified into battery waste, both lead acid and lithium ion batteries, expandedour warehousing facilities and made it a Material Recovery Facilityand expandedour geographical boundaries to Punjab, Indore, Patna, Lucknow and Jaipur. We have a dream of formalising the informal waste management segment”, added Mr Mall.

 

Currently, Hulladek is operating in 25 states and 3 union territories. In the past 10 years, the company has collected 25 million Kgs of waste from industries, educational institutes, government bodies and households, reached 25,000 households through door-to-door services, established 50 active collection centres and points across the country. Hulladek collects waste from corporate giants such as Mondelez International, Hindustan Unilever, IndusInd Bank, Berger Paints and many more and also assists corporates in fulfilling their EPR responsibility such as Godrej Appliances, Timezone, Mcnroe, Red Cow Dairy, etc.

 

The company has recorded impressive growth metrics, with annual turnover increasing by 10x over the last 5 years.

 

Hulladek has set new standards in waste management, creating awareness and emphasizing the importance of recycling e-waste responsibly. To date, the company has processed over 15 million kgs of e-waste, preventing harmful materials from polluting the environment and conserving valuable resources.
