Vajpayee Ji has a daughter, Namita, even after being unmarried. She is his adopted daughter. Namita is married to Ranjan Bhattacharya. When Atal Bihari Vajpayee was ailing at the last moment, he was looked after by his adopted daughter and son-in-law.
According to the Hindu Succession Law amended in 2005, the property of childless people is the right of their adopted child. So, Namita received all the property of Vajpayee Ji after his death due to a long illness.
