Grand Vishwa Shanti Mahayagya to be held in City

A momentous and spiritually important occasion, the Shri Jagannath Vishwa Shanti Mahayagya, is scheduled to occur in Bengal, representing a groundbreaking milestone in the region’s religious and cultural framework. For the first time in Bengal’s history, devotees will have the opportunity to witness the 32 Besa (32 divine forms) of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath displayed together—an exceptionally rare दर्शन regarded as a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

This event marks the inaugural Shri Jagannath Vishwa Shanti Mahayagya in Bengal, creating a significant spiritual event. While such grand आयोजन could have been held in major cities like Delhi or Mumbai, its occurrence in Bengal is attributed to the divine will (Ichha) of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath. Inspired by the philosophy “Manav Seva hi Madhav Seva”, the event encourages all individuals committed to social welfare to join and receive the sacred Vijay Tilak.

The Mahayagya promotes unity and inclusivity, welcoming devotees from all backgrounds, regardless of caste, creed, or origin. Nishulk Mahaprasad will be provided to lakhs of devotees, ensuring that no participant departs without receiving blessings. Revered as “Jagat Prasad”, the Mahaprasad will be distributed fairly and at no cost to all. Katha & Pravachan will be presented by Daitapati Shri Bhabani Das Mohapatra Ji, a respected descendant (Bansaj) of the sacred Jagannath tradition. His mission is to raise awareness of Jagannath culture worldwide, including the establishment of temples throughout India and Gaushalas dedicated to Mahaprabhu. The Mahayagya seeks to promote peace, harmony, and spiritual awakening within society. The event is anticipated to draw lakhs of devotees, making it one of the largest spiritual congregations in Bengal. A limited number of 151 participants will have the chance to engage directly in the Mahayagya rituals with a contribution of ₹51,000. Over three days, only 51 families each day will be permitted to partake in the sacred Hawan. The rituals will be conducted by 51+ Vedic Brahmins, following centuries-old authentic Vedic traditions.
