Goan Food Festival at Chapter 2 Is Back

Chapter 2, Kolkata’s most preferred retro dining restaurant, is all set to announce the return of the Goan Food Festival. Commencing from 11th August, 2025, this much-awaited celebration promises to take food lovers on a vibrant and flavourful journey through Goa’s rich culinary heritage. The menu has been specially curated by Ms Maria Fernandes, Vice Chairman, WBFDC.
This year’s edition of the Goan Food Festival brings with it a spectacular & vast spread of iconic dishes that showcase the depth, diversity and legacy of Goan cuisine. Guests can indulge in a delectable array of coastal delicacies, fiery meats, comforting curries and nostalgic sweets – each bite telling a story of the Konkan coast.
The elaborate menu features an irresistible selection of starters and mains, including Goan Squid Chilly Fry, Pork Sausage Chilli Fry, Goan Fish Croquettes, Crispy Fried Bombil, Goan Beer Battered Prawns, Goan Chicken Chop, Goan Beef Chop Goan Crab Masala, Goan Beef and Vegetable Curry, Pomfret Recheado, Goan Pork Sausage Pulao and classics like Pork Sorpotel, Prawn Balchao, Goan Fish Curry, Goan Red Chicken Curry and Pork Vindaloo. Vegetarians too can savour specialties like French Bean Foogath with Garlic Breads, Mixed Veg Xacuti, Mushroom Chilli Fry and Minced Veg Chops.
Rounding off the menu are flavour-packed sweet dishes – Goan Dodol and the Traditional Goan Bebinca, known for their rich textures and indulgent flavours.
In addition to the culinary spread, the festival also introduces a selection of Goan-themed Cocktails and Mocktails, including Malta Orange & Tia Maria and Watermelon Mojito & Chilli Guava.
“Goan cuisine reflects the state’s rich history and cultural intermingling, from Portuguese influences to native Konkani traditions. We are quite enthused to revive the Goan Food Festival at Chapter 2 this year with a more expansive and authentic offering. Our patrons can expect bold spices, comfort-driven recipes, and a festive ambiance complete with Goan-inspired cocktails and live retro music,” said Shiladitya & Debaditya Chaudhury, Co-Founders of Chapter 2.
With prices starting at just Rs 200/- onwards, the Goan Food Festival at Chapter 2 offers an indulgent escape into Goa’s culinary soul, right here in the heart of Kolkata.
The festival will run from 11th August to 10th September, 2025 at Chapter 2’s Southern Avenue address, inviting foodies across the city to dive into a coastal experience unlike any other.
