‘First-of-its kind’ diploma course in Fire & Industrial Safety

 For the first time in Eastern India, a diploma course in collaboration with the MAULANA ABUL KALAM AZAD UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (MAKAUT) to provide skill-based manpower in the field of fire and safety has been curated by Pristine Skill Power and launched at a Press Conference. Fees for this course of 12 months will be Rs. 25,000 only per student. Seat for a total of 60 students is available in a single intake.
Fire and Safety Course is an eye-catching career to meet the growing need for skilled manpower. Approximately more than 1 lakh skilled personnel are required each year in India and abroad, to ensure safety from fire. The job distribution in this field is as follows: 80% in safety jobs, 10-15% in fire engineering jobs, and the remaining 5% in the fire fighting jobs. The industries like Oil & Gas Sector, Petrochemical Complexes, High Rise buildings, Shopping Malls, Electrical Installations, etc. need experienced and trained fire fighting & safety personnel of the highest order.
During the launch Press Conference Shri Nadimul Haque, M.P, Rajya Sabha, Smt. Sofia Khan, State General Secretary of TMC’s Minority Cell, Prof. Indranil Mukherjee, VC of CCPTR Cell, MAKAUT, and Dr. Pradip Chakraborty, Senior Coordinator CCPTR Cell, MAKAUT were present as esteemed guests today.
Mr. Barendra Mohan Sen, Advisor PSP, Former Director, Fire & Emergency Services, Govt. of West Bengal said, “It is an immense opportunity for the entire group to be the first in the industry to introduce such a lucrative and useful course. The jobs in this field of fire fighting are often very challenging, risk-taking as well as a noble profession too. Saving human life at the same time saving oneself, while combating the onslaught of fire, needs high-grade skills, special training, and physical fitness. We hope PSP will assure professional training for the same.”
