Rabindranath Tagore wanted to enlighten his inner world with his own light, again and again. He searched for enlightenment all his life and tried to remove all the negativity from the world. Alokbortika is such an attempt to find the great compassionate light from the darkness in today’s turbulent times. Songs of Tagore by Sanjukta Bera touched the melody where the image of the poet’s thought remains. Prominent Rabindra Sangeet artist Prabuddha Raha also sung in this album.
Well known elocutionist Sujoy Prasad Chattopadhyay brought back memories of the incidents that happened at every turns of Tagore’s life which led him to enlightenment , with his recitations. This is a complete work on Tagore. The entire music arrangement is done by Surajit Das. It is available on Times Music Bangla’s YouTube channel.
This album will be released was recently launched at the ICCR, Kolkata, at the Satyajit Ray Auditorium. A concert was organized to mark the auspicious event – ‘Jeebondebota’ arranged by Oikantik. Prabuddha Raha and Sanjukta Bera performed the songs and Sujoy Prasad Chattopadhyay connected the entire presentation with his narrations. Shyamoli Acharya anchored the event. Surajit Das and Partha Mukhopadhyay did the music accompaniment.
