Ekti Tarar Khonje : A delightful walk down memory lane

A new book on Former goalkeeper Bhuban Chatterjee titled, Ekti Tarar Khonje was launched at the Bhowanipore Club tent, Kolkata on Wednesday. The event was attended by ex-cricketer & Bengal coach Arun Lal, Grandmaster (GM) and Arjuna Awardee Dibyendu Barua and the former captain of the Indian Women s National Team and Woman Arjuna Awardee in football Shanti Mullick.
Bhubhan who has played for clubs like Mohun Bagan and East Bengal and has established himself as a promising lyricist, singer and music composer after his retirement. He has already release 18 albums dedicated to various sportspersons. His songs have been popular in Bangladesh as well. Versatile Bhuban has written three poetry books.
Speaking about his upcoming book Bhuban Chatterjee said “This book will be an extremely enriching and enjoyable experience for all the readers. The book will provide insights into various aspects of my sporting live and musical journey.”
Arun Lal said that the book will be an inspiration for many especially the sportspersons. “This book will inspire others to follow your passions and master your hobbies after retirement. Hobbies and passion complete our life. So, fill your life with your favourite activities and enjoy your life to the fullest.
Dibyendu felt “Bhuban is a perfect example on how to explore and to understand your other passions and unlock your other talents, so you can proactively take control of your life after sports. “
Shanti Mullick concluded by saying “Bhuban is such an amazing personality, a great inspiration.”
