Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, came into reality under Punjab Govt’s Desh Bhagat University Act. The university derives its spirit of substance from freedom fighter Sr. Lal Singh Ji, who fought for the independence of India in 1972. His pains in social work & his facilities in the freedom struggle were predictable by his awarding with “Tamra Patra” by Govt. of India. Henceforth, the name Desh Bhagat was considered. Desh Bhagat University is an abode to an inconceivable and diverse compass of meticulous and assiduous, global students and academic researchers.
Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor; Desh Bhagat University is a self-made man who has worked very hard to make DBU a brand. He shared that Desh Bhagat University is not only giving quality education to the students but also providing a platform to the students to showcase their talent. DBU is making efforts to make education accessible to the underprivileged through their scholarship scheme “DBEST” and other grants for the needy and meritorious students.
