CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology celebrated 130th Dr. B R Ambedkar Jayanti
CSIR- Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology today celebrated 130th Dr. B R Ambedkar Jayanti at its Bhubaneswar Campus Auditorium in the presence of Chief Guest, Shri Dayanidhi Marandi, Ex CMD Burn Standard Co Ltd, Kolkata West Bengal.
Welcome address was delivered by Dr R Shaktivel, Chairman, Ambedkar committee welcomed all the guests and discussed about the importance of the day.
Dr S Basu, Director, CSIR-IMMT delivered the inaugural speech and discussed the objective of celebrating the 130th birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar.
Inaugurating the celebration Chief Guest, Dayanidhi Marandi, Ex CMD Burn Standard Co Ltd, Kolkata West Bengal, said, I am very happy to be a part of this celebration. We all are fortunate to have Dr. B R Ambedkar like personalities in our constitutional life.
CSIR-IMMT organized many activities and music, essay, debate, quiz competition etc. on various topics among the kids of the staff and among the staff as well. Attractive prizes were distributed to the winners.
At the end of the programme Convenor Sri Santosh Kumar Behera thanked all the guests dignitaries and audience for their participation in the event and to make it a grand success.
The programme was organized in the institute auditorium strictly following the Covid guideline set by the Govt.
