After making films like The Green Window, Soch and Swadeshini Bideshini, Indira Dhar Mukkherjee is making “Stars” a short film based on children and their activities during lockdown and post lockdown. Stars is a film written, directed and produced by Indira who received multiple awards at various film festivals worldwide for The Green Window and Soch, to be released this year.
Stars is based on toddlers and each actor was handpicked and trained by Indira herself from Cubes activity center, Kolkata. Her son Kabir Mukkherjee aged 4, is also acting in this film. The actors comprises of Ayank Banerjee, Kabir Mukherjee, Swara Mittal, Dityaa Pachisia, Sumeera, Harshiv and Nitara Chamria.
Sharmila Sen who worked with Indira in films like Soch and The Green window is also a part of this film.”Stars” is backed by Good Earth Medical Care Center, Dr. Anjali Banerjee and Dr. Writtika Chattoraj. The Director of Photography is Uttaran De, Edited by Shuvro Roy and Music by Shamil Guha Roy. This short film will be screened at various film festivals before it’s digital release this year!
