Catch singers Anupam Roy, Iman Chakraborty, Lagnajita Chakraborty, Nikita Gandhi, Ash King honour music maestros at 4th Edition of Joy Filmfare Awards 2020

Bengal’s most iconic awards – the fourth edition of Joy Filmfare Awards Bangla 2020 was a memorable evening. Held on 31st March 2021, the event filled with glitz and glamour honoured and acknowledged the most-stellar performances of Bengali cinema at Westin, Kolkata, Rajarhat. Striking the perfect the gala ceremony also saw a host of music maestros perform to a series of popular chartbusters that got everyone tapping their feet and humming along. This included a section curated by Indradeep Dasgupta titled ‘Musically Bengal’ that saw singers Anupam Roy, Iman Chakraborty, Lagnajita Chakraborty, Nikita Gandhi, Ash King, along with an orchestra of 30 live musicians, honour acclaimed music directors of the Bengali film industry, such as Sudhin Dasgupta, Nachiketa Ghosh, Hemanta Mukherjee, SD Burman, RD Burman, Salil Chowdhury and the evergreen Bapi Lahri, by crooning evergreen melodies. Some of the superhit songs that were played included Kon se alor shopno niye, Amar gaan er swaralipi, Ei raat Tomar amaar, Borne gondhe chhonde geeti te, Jana ajana pothe cholechi and Baje Go Beena Amar Sangee.
