Desk: BSF Meghalaya Frontier has been continuously conducting various civic action programs to serve border residing population and to inculcate a sense of security among them.
On 9th Mar’2021, a Civic action Program was organized by BSF Meghalaya Frontier in the border village of Baldamgiri, Rithingpara of District South West Garo Hills in the area of 28 Bn BSF. The program was inaugurated by Sh Hardeep Singh, Inspector General, Frontier HQrs Meghalaya in the presence of Sh S.K.Misra Commandant.
During the program stationary, Solar light, Spray Pump etc. were distributed to border area people on Indo Bangladesh border. About. 100 civilians joined this program and expressed their happiness and gratitude on friendly gesture demonstrated by Border Security Force.
Besides, on the same day, a free medical camp and civic action program were also organized at BOP Muktapur of 30 Bn BSF. During the program essential items such as Plastic Chair, Scissor, Stool, various sports items, utensils, Computers etc. were distributed to the villagers of Jalia Khola, Shiv Parvati Temple, Lakra Basti, Hawai Basti, Muktapur, Patro Basti, Amjolang, Amki, Ampiang of West Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya.
During the Medical camp, 195 patients were diagnosed by BSF Medical Officers and provided free medicines. The local population appreciated the initiation of BSF towards improvements of their life standard.
