BSF APPREHENDED A BANGLADESHI YOUTH WHO CAME TO INDIA FOR A LIVING, HANDED OVER TO BGB DUE TO HUMANITY AND GOODWILL

On July 12, 2022, on the basis of strong input the vigilant troops of Border Out Post Jeetpur, 68 Battalion of Border Security Force, apprehended a youth while illegally entering the Indian territory. Bangladeshi youth Identified as Md Sohil Shaikh (32), S/o- Monzel Shaikh, Village- Stairfals, District Jessore, Bangladesh. During interrogation, the youth revealed that he was coming to India for better lifehood with his wife. when the BSF apprehended him while his wife fled back to Bangladesh.

The apprehended person was thoroughly investigated and handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh as a gesture of humanity as well as goodwill. Yoginder Agrawal, Commanding Officer, 68 Battalion stated that the Border Security Force is taking strict steps to prevent infiltration along the Indo-Bangladesh border, due to which some people are being continuously apprehended. The BSF hands over the apprehended persons back to BGB, Bangladesh considering the seriousness of the crime and if there is no involvement in any crime in the past.
