Boho Trunk in Association with Kkhubii organises The Conscious Catwalk: A Movement Towards Mindful Glamour

Fashion met responsibility as The Conscious Catwalk took over the Lake Club, Kolkata. More than just a fashion show, it was a movement that celebrated creativity while carrying a strong message—fashion must never come at the cost of the Earth’s balance.
Curated by Akashlinaa Banerrjee (Founder & Designer, Boho Trunk) and Shreshtha Ganguly (Founder, Kkhubii; Film Director & Art & Culture Enthusiast), the event became a powerful convergence of sustainability, artistry, and culture. Akashlinaa Banerrjee further added, said: “Fashion is an expression of who we are, but it cannot come at the cost of who we become as a planet. With The Conscious Catwalk, we aimed to show that style and sustainability can walk hand in hand—creating beauty that empowers rather than exploits. At Boho Trunk, our vision has always been to reimagine fashion as a medium that preserves culture, supports artisans, and respects the environment. We believe that fashion is not just about what you wear, but the story it tells and the responsibility it carries. If each step on the runway inspires even one person to make a more conscious choice, then we know this movement is already making a difference.”
The runway showcased collections that were eco-conscious, upcycled, and artisan-crafted, featuring creations by John Sengupta (HOD, NIF), Akashlinaa Banerrjee (Boho Trunkk), Sharanya Sengupta (Senior Faculty, NIF), Needle Story, and Seona—a Dubai-based label championing sustainability. Each of these designers brought their unique interpretation of mindful fashion, blending creativity with responsibility while highlighting how innovation can go hand in hand with ecological awareness.
Adding star power to the message of mindful glamour, the show featured popular names such as Actor Sean Banerjee, Actress Richa Sharma, Model Malav P Ghosh, Actor Syed Arefin, and many more who walked the ramp. Renowned models also joined the line-up, bringing poise and elegance to the showcase while complementing the sustainable collections. Their presence not only added a touch of glamour but also strengthened the narrative that conscious fashion belongs on the grandest of stages. By lending their influence to the cause, these celebrities and models amplified the message that sustainability is not a compromise on style, but rather the future of it.
The Conscious Catwalk was not just a runway show—it was a statement, a reminder that fashion can be glamorous while remaining grounded in responsibility.
