On the 8th and 9th of April 2024, Academy of Technology (AOT) hosted AOTFIESTA 2024, a vibrant celebration of innovation and talent. A convergence of intellect and creativity, this two-day extravaganza welcomed participants from esteemed institutions besides students from AOT. Participants came from as many as 12 well-regarded colleges including IIT Kharagpur, MCKV Institute of Engineering, Heritage Institute of Technology, University Institute of Technology, Chandernagore College, Serampore College, and many more.
Techfiesta’24, an integral part of AOTFIESTA, epitomized the spirit of technological exploration. With over 800 individuals passionately engaged, it showcased a myriad number of software and hardware challenges, from UI/UX design to IoT circuitry, igniting innovation to unprecedented heights. Participants, both seasoned and novice, found their moment to shine, embodying the fest’s ethos of collaboration and skill development.
The Humatronics segment added a distinct flavour to the event, celebrating literary and artistic talents. Creative Writing, Painting, Extempore, and Waste to Art competitions drew massive responses. Notably, nearly 100 students engaged in Creative Writing, while 29 teams competed in the Waste to Art competition, reflecting the diverse range of talents nurtured at AOTFIESTA.
Four exclusive events were conducted for school students with around 150 students from renowned schools showcasing their prowess. There was a significant turnout from Tribeni Tissue Vidyapith, Gospel Home School, ChinsurahBalikaSikshaSadan, KanchraparaHarnett High School, Auxilium Convent Bandel, St. Anthony’s High School, Hoogly Collegiate School, ChandenagoreSri Aurobindo, PathaBhawanDankuni, and Hooghly Branch School.
AOT also kicked off the inter-departmental Games Meet on the 8th of April featuring competitive tournaments in volleyball&basketball for boys and girls and football. The games brought together enthusiastic athletes for a thrilling showcase of athleticism and teamwork.
The fest culminated in a grand finale, showcasing the boundless possibilities of technology and the depth of creative expression.
