It was evening to remember for die-hard Mukesh & Lata fans as they were treated with their evergreen songs in an event organized by Sangeet Kala Mandir. To give a heartfelt tribute to Mukesh & Lata , the team of Mukhtar Shah ( Golden Voice Of Mukesh ) & Gul Saxena presented a soulful medley of songs sung by them.
Notably, Mukesh was one of the best singers of his times. He was awarded for his songs in Rajnigandha, Kabhie Kabhie, Andaaz, Mela and many more. Lata Mangeshkar, known as the “Nightingale of India”, was an Indian cultural icon and national treasure who made her name in Bollywood, providing the singing voice to lip-synching movie stars over the course of a career which spanned more than half a century.
Mukhtar Shah, with his rich baritone and vocal range, gave a wonderful performance and was ably supported by Gul Saxena, with her melodious voice. It was an evening of melody, lyrical beauty and a lot of nostalgia from evergreen films.
It was a treat for the music lovers of the city to listen to the old songs of Mukesh & Lata once again live on stage.
