Women embody strength, sustainability, and patience, often nurturing society at the cost of their own well-being. To sensitize the public about preventive health and self-protection, Acropolis Mall hosted a two-day Women’s Day celebration titled “SHE”. An extension of the mall’s “SHE Parking” initiative, the event was organized under four distinct pillars: She Glows, She Speaks, She Listens, and She Protects.
The celebration featured a variety of workshops tailored to these themes. Under “She Glows,” skincare sessions were held to help women across all age groups enhance their natural health and radiance. The “She Speaks” and “She Listens” segments focused on breaking the silence around physical wellness. Dr. Puja Mahato, MD (Medicine),Asst. Professor & Consultant Physician- Internal Medicine, JIMSprovided expert guidance on menstrual hygiene, PCOS/PCOD awareness, and breast health. Joining the expert panel, Ms. Moutushi Ghosh, Nutrition & Dietetics Incharge, provided essential tips on ideal diet and nutrition tailored for women across different age groups. To ensure dignity and confidentiality, the consultation desk was set up in a semi-private, comfortable space for these interactive sessions. The final pillar, “She Protects,” featured a live self-defence workshop led by Lady Sub-Inspector Rehana from Kasba Police Station . This session focused on situational awareness and practical self-protection techniques, featuring live demonstrations with volunteers to provide hands-on experience.
