A homage to Hand rickshaw pullers by debutant actress Sangita Sinha

Sangita Sinha an internationally acclaimed beauty queen is all set to make her on screen debut with Ram Kamal Mukherjee’s directorial venture Rickshawala. From the world of fashion Sangita has bagged a lead role in Rickshawala which has been selected for the prestigious film festivals at Melbourne and Madrid. Sangita is associated with NGO Angle Nabajiban Welfare Society which works for orphans, needy pregnant women, elderly person beside that she runs a pre school in her hometown Burdwan.

She always stands for social issues. Recently she distributed blankets, sanitizers, masks among a number of hand rickshaw pullers at Mullickbazar area. Sangita says,” As winter is there and these rickshaw pullers mostly live on footpaths so thought to provide some blankets and as the covid pandemic is also affecting our lives distributed hand sanitizer, masks for their safety and make them aware about the necessity of using masks in our daily life.” She has bagged some internationally recognised titles like Mrs. Asia Grand Universe 2019,Mrs India Asia Style Icon 2019, Best Performer Of Asia Grand Universe International Philippines 2019,Mrs. India Universe Earth 2018 and so on.

She adds,” My film is a tribute to those unsung heroes of our daily life like hand rickshaw pullers who serve to our society but their is no recognition.It’s a part of our culture.One can’t imagine about the city of joy except hand pulling rickshaws.So I tried my best a little way to serve for them.On a contrary we all are Rickshawalas in our personal life pulling our dreams as passengers with safety towards its destinations.”
