A colorful cultural program was held at Rabindra Sadan on July 14 to mark the silver jubilee year of Sangya. Prominent personalities from the world of art and culture participated in it. Special honors were given to Mirakkel fame Atanu Barman, Singer Padmapalash and Urmimala Basu. They all participated in the program. Urmimala Basu performed an audio drama, Atanu Barman performed comedy, and Padmapalash performed kirtan songs. Solo recitals were performed by Pranati Thakur, Kajal Sur, Sukumar Ghosh, Sudipta Roy, guest artist Kallol Chatterjee from America, and Deepak Saha from Agartala. Satinath Mukherjee, Biplob Chakraborty, Preeti Dutta, Swaroop Pal and Swati Pal were present at a concert of recitations and songs titled “Satru-Mitra Tafat bujhina, Shanti khuji”.
The artistes of Aditiya presented ‘Jakhon Brishti Namlo’. Dr. Surojit Roy, Antara Das and members of Aditiya participated. Directed by Deepak Saha, the poetry recital was presented by Agartala. The recital presentation by the artists of Sangya included ‘Bhanga Bangadesh’.
The event was a fusion of different cultures, which delighted the audience. The event was planned by Biplob Chakraborty, the founder of Sangya. The event was hosted by Madhumita Basu and Sudipta Bhaduri.
