Children Show Their Talent In Art Competition

 The competition for budding artists in the city hosted by 12 tables from Kolkata and initiated by Kolkata Victorian Round Table 227, a part of ROUND TABLE INDIA was held at The Heritage School Ground f. The event comprised of a sit & draws competition followed by group art & craft work, face painting & tattoo making, music and games, activity time followed by prize distribution & lunch.

More than 3:500 children will participate from 20schools& NGOs such asGandhi Vidyalaya, Suryodaya, UnnayanParishad, Surya Kiran, Calcutta Resue, Bustee Welfare Society, Chapdani High Social, Hope Academy, Treasures of Innocence,RTI schools across West Bengaland many more NGOs and underprivileged schools including a group of children from Specially Abled Schools like Mentaid, Manovikas Kendra & Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy.

Talking about the initiative, Saket Choudhary, Chairman, KolkataVictorian Round Table 227, says, “This is a great way to inspire children’s creativity and develop their passion filled skills. We have always nurtured young talent and tried to provide a platform to such blooming minds. The upcoming Sit and Draw Art Competition is one such medium for the not so fortunate kids to gain an opportunity to express and showcase their art.”

The competition was based on the theme of Creativity & Abstract Art. The competition is for three age groups i.e. Age upto 6 yrs, 7 years to 12 years and 12 years above.

“80 of the leading corporate groups of the city have collaborated together to support this initiative of Round Table India such as Infinity Group, Hoffmen, Om Dayal Group, Anmol, Jewels & Co., Wow Momo, Vidit Group, Keventer, Lalwani Ferro Alloys, Century Ply, Star Cements, Shree Cements, Paharpur Cooling Towers, Packman, Manyavar, Bazaar Kolkata, JK Masale, and many more” says Sahil Saharia – Fund Raising Convenor for Kolkata Victorian Round Table.There will be presence of leading corporate from the city along with Tollywood stars social workers, artists & painters, heads of NGOs and members of Round Table India.

Apart from Art festival for these kids Kolkata Victorian organised a few more entertainment programmes for the day. There was a kids carnival for these kids so that they can enjoy and cherish this day
