100-bed “Temporary COVID Treatment Infrastructure/Hospital” launched

As per the directives of the Government of West Bengal, Nehru Memorial Techno Global Hospital –
A Satyam Roychowdhury initiative, under the aegis of Techno India Group has launched a 100-bed
“Temporary COVID Treatment Infrastructure/Hospital” at Royal Park Stadium (Barrackpore), Kolkata
on 24th May 2021 .Shri Raj Chakraborty, newly elected MLA and Shri Uttam Das, Administrator of Barrackpore Municipality have extended their fullest support and cooperation in the formation of the facility. Shri Satyam Roychowdhury, Co-founder and Managing Director of Techno India Group sincerely hoped that the “Temporary COVID Treatment Infrastructure/Hospital” will be a valuable addition to the state’s ongoing multiple initiatives to control the second wave of the pandemic in an exemplary manner.
Commissioning schedule:
24.05.2021: 35 beds
31.05.2021: 35 beds
07.06.2021: 30 beds
Services to be provided:
• In-patient (100 beds), and facilities for 24×7 –
• Nursing care
• Monitoring
• Medication
• Blood tests (COVID-specific battery of tests)
• X-ray
• Oxygen administration (including high flow support of upto 15 litres/min)
• Dietary & Laundry services
• Bio-medical Waste Disposal
• HMIS-based patient documentation
• Visit by doctors
Dr Sanku Bose, Group CEO of Techno India Group said that a Covid Severity Score (CSS) software
system is being introduced for the first time in Eastern India through which patient’s parameters
will be monitored 24×7 to assess the severity of disease and thus, scale the treatment plan/ICU
admission. This will reduce the need for admission to ICU beds and enable earlier discharge of
patients, both factors improving availability of much-needed critical beds.
